Secure Patient Technology was born out of a crisis. Years ago, one of our co-founders—a practicing physician at the time—found himself locked out of his hospital’s systems in the middle of a code blue. While trying to access life-saving data, his screen froze with a red warning: ransomware had hit the hospital’s outdated infrastructure.

The breach was resolved. But the trust? Shattered. It wasn’t just systems that had failed that day. It was a reminder that the people on the front lines—doctors, nurses, and care teams—carry an impossible weight: saving lives while protecting data, all inside workflows that were never built for either.

That moment didn’t end a career. It started a company.
