SPT + NPAF
Advancing Patient Access Through Education
Secure Patient Technology and the National Patient Advocate Foundation launch a new partnership focused on health literacy, equity, and digital empowerment.
Secure Patient Technology is proud to announce our partnership with the National Patient Advocate Foundation (NPAF)—a national nonprofit dedicated to advancing person-centered care and policy that elevates the patient voice.
Together, we’re launching a new wave of digital education tools within Patient MedEd, our interactive health literacy platform designed to give patients clear, contextual information about their care, coverage, and rights.
A Shared Vision for Health Equity
Access to care isn’t just about insurance networks or provider availability—it’s about understanding. Too often, patients are left to navigate confusing portals, vague policy language, and fragmented instructions without the support they need to make informed decisions.
This partnership brings together NPAF’s deep advocacy expertise and SPT’s technology infrastructure to close that gap. The goal: to create tools that are not only secure and scalable—but understandable, actionable, and respectful of every patient’s lived experience.
“We believe the future of digital health must be inclusive by design,” said SPT CEO Dr. Alex Chen. “NPAF’s leadership in patient advocacy aligns perfectly with our mission to build systems that serve patients—not just process them.”
What’s Launching First
New educational modules in Patient MedEd, co-developed with NPAF content experts
Downloadable toolkits for care teams to support health literacy at the point of service
Awareness campaigns across social media, webinars, and care networks to engage underserved populations
“Technology can widen disparities—or it can help close them. With SPT, we’re building something that empowers patients in real, measurable ways,” said NPAF Executive Director Gwen Darien.
What Comes Next
This is just the beginning. SPT and NPAF will continue to expand their collaboration across provider training, policy thought leadership, and co-sponsored research on the digital determinants of health access.
Together, we’re working toward a system where every patient is informed, respected, and supported.
